Nederland Lions Club was chartered with Lions Club International in 1948 to serve Nederland and the surrounding mountain community. Our service organization's simple motto is:

Nederland Lions Club serves our community with varied projects. A few examples include:

• Vision screening pre-school and kindergarten children through Colorado Lions KidSight

• Collecting, sorting, and recycling used eyeglasses

• Volunteering with the Nederland Food Pantry

• Assisting others when needed

• Providing information along with free sunglasses and readers to community members at the Nederland Farmers Market.

• Helping community members with eye exams and glasses

• Sponsoring Nederland MSHS programs such as Peace Poster Contest, Speech Contest, Senior Banquet, & After Prom

• Supporting Nederland Elementary programs such as the Spring Carnival and campus clean up day

• Contributing to the broader community by partnering with local organizations and other Colorado Lions

• Volunteering and supporting Marshall Fire recovery efforts

• Providing scholarships for Nederland graduating seniors

• Participating in the Rise Against Hunger community event

• Sponsoring a student for the 2024 Nederland Community Library International Exchange Program
